Studying with Dyslexia With Dyslexia, studying can be extremely difficult, especially with the workload of a Medical degree at university. I spend my days on my laptop, which has special programmes to assist with my needs. At my university, we get the slides a few days before the lecture, so I save these lecture notes and open them up in the lecture to make notes. I type faster than I can hand-write so I think this is the best idea. I use a device called Note Talker. It is a microphone and an IOS app which allows me to record lectures to listen back to in my own time. This app is a life saver! The lectures power through all the slides so having a recording to listen back to when I need to is great! Another piece of software I have is called Claro-Read. This allows me to have my assignments/notes read out to me as I struggle to read and pick up grammatical errors. Having my text read out to me means I can actually hear the mistakes!
